Ezhou Huahu Airport to open this year | 鄂州花湖机场有望今年年中投运

　　On Dec. 29, 2020, a Cessna 560 airplane landed safely at the Ezhou Huahu Airport, marking the beginning of its one-month flight verification. The airport's main project has now entered its final stage.
　　12月29日中午12时19分，赛斯纳 C560飞机缓缓降落在鄂州花湖机场，标志着为期1个月的校飞开启。花湖机场的主体工程已进入收尾阶段。

　　The Huahu Airport project has a total investment of over RMB 30 billion. As the country's first cargo airport, it is designed to meet the requirements of an annual throughput of 1.5 million passengers and 3.3 million tonnes of cargo and mail by 2030. It will be put into operation in the middle of this year, and will be used both as a passenger transport feeder airport and an air cargo hub.
　　花湖机场项目总投资308.42亿元。作为国内首个专业货运机场，机场按照满足2030年旅客吞吐量150万人次、货邮吞吐量330万吨的要求设计。今年年中有望实现投运，同时满足客运和货运航空需求。

　　The Huahu Airport will operate alongside the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to enable Wuhan to function as a double-frame airline hub in Hubei. Wuhan will consequently become the fourth city in China with two large-scale transportation airports, following Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
　　机场投入使用后，将和武汉天河机场形成湖北航空“客货双枢纽”格局，使武汉成为继北京、上海、成都之后全国第四个拥有两个大型运输机场的城市。
