National-level wetland park to open | 国家级湿地公园即将开放
Yaojiao Lake which used to be a big fishpond has been turned into a national-level wetland park after 12 months' renovation.
历经12个月，东西湖区幺教湖从养鱼塘变为国家级湿地公园。

Located in Dongxihu District next to the Fuhe River, the lake, together with Du Gong Lake and its surrounding areas, forms the Du Gong Lake National Wetland Park. Consisting of water bodies, green belts, water conservation forests and farmlands, the park will open to the public in the near future.
位于东西湖区的幺教湖，紧邻府河。与一旁的杜公湖及周围部分湖岸区域构成了武汉杜公湖国家湿地公园。该公园的自然生态由水体、绿带、涵养林和农田组成，预计将于近期面向市民开放。
"Some aquaculturalists used to live here when the lake was still only several fishponds. I noticed the renovation work last year. It’s so nice to see the changes," said Liu Huijuan, a local resident. Though the emergent aquatic plants along the bank have not yet budded, submerged plants such as coontail are lush.
“以前这里都是水产养殖户，幺教湖被分成了若干个养鱼塘。”居民刘慧娟说：“去年就看见这边在施工，现在这个湖变了个样！真好。”记者在现场看见，沿岸的挺水植物还未重新发芽，湖水里，金鱼藻等沉水植物非常茂密。
