East Lake Peony Garden enters flowering period | 东湖牡丹园牡丹迎来盛花期

　　The East Lake Peony Garden opened on March 18. It showcases more than 30,000 peonies in over 200 varieties, as well as six other kinds of flowers such as Japanese kerria, peach and cherry blossoms.
　　3月18日，东湖牡丹园开园，不仅有200余个牡丹品种，3万余株牡丹参展，还有棣棠、桃花、樱花等其他6种花卉供市民观赏。

　　Li Min, an engineer at the garden, said, "Due to the low temperature in February this year and the recent cold snap, the flowering period of peonies has been delayed. We expect that the peonies in the park will begin to bloom in late March or early April." Li also says that many valuable varieties of peonies are going to be on exhibit in the garden this year.
　　“由于今年2月气温较低加上近期降温，园内牡丹花期有所推迟，预计3月底至4月初就会迎来盛花期。”东湖牡丹园园林工程师李敏介绍，东湖牡丹园中不乏诸多名贵品种。
