Local couple conveys love for PWDs with music | 夫妻用音乐向智力障碍残疾人传递爱

　　Liao Yijun and his wife Li Shanshan, both teachers at Jianghan University, have spent many years teaching people with intellectual disabilities how to play musical instruments. They believe that when people with disabilities (PWD) play music, their hearts are soothed.
　　江汉大学音乐学院教师廖逸君和妻子李珊珊多年来，坚持教智力障碍残疾人学乐器。这对夫妻相信音乐可以抚慰他们的心灵。

　　The couple's work has brought great changes to many lives. The learners gradually become active, less timid, and overcome their initial resistance to communication. Their mental state significantly improves and they get along better with their families.
　　夫妻二人此举给残障人士的生活带来了巨大改变。他们慢慢变得主动，不那么胆小，并且不再抗拒交流，精神状况得到明显改善，和家人的相处也更为融洽。
　　In 2019, the couple established the first "Symphony Orchestra for PWDs" in Central China, in which members learned how to play instruments for free. They have now expanded to teaching wheelchair dancing and choral music.
　　2019年，廖逸君组建了华中地区首个“残疾人交响管乐团”，所有想学音乐的残障人士都可以免费来学。如今学员们的学习还拓展到了轮椅舞蹈、合唱等领域。
