Man trapped on bridge pier for 4 days rescued | 落水男子被困桥墩4天获救
Recently, a man who came to work in Wuhan from Qiannan, Guizhou province accidentally slipped into the Yangtze River, and floated down from the Hannan section to the Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge, where he grabbed onto a bridge pier.
近日，贵州黔南一男子来汉打工，在江边行走时不慎滑入长江，从汉南段顺着江水一直漂至沌口长江大桥下并抓住了桥墩。
At about 3 p.m. on May 4, while Mr. Liu, a member of the Yangtze River fishing ban team in Hongshan District, was patrolling near the bridge, he noticed a figure on the pier from a distance. "He sometimes squatted, sometimes stood up or jumped into water." Liu thought he was a swimmer and continued with his patrol.
5月4日下午3时许，洪山区青菱街长江禁捕队队员刘师傅，巡查至沌口长江大桥附近时，远远的看到桥墩上有个人影。“他非常瘦，似乎一会蹲着，一会站着，还会跳到长江里游泳。”刘师傅以为是一名游泳爱好者，就继续巡江了。
The man made a phone call to her family after being rescued.
The next day when Liu was there again on patrol, he found the man still on the pier and called out to him, asking if he needed help. The man beckoned in response. Liu realized that the man was probably in trouble and immediately dialed the emergency number 110.
次日，刘师傅巡江时又行至此处，远远的再次发现了这名男子。刘师傅大声呼喊，问男子是否需要帮助，男子随即挥手示意。刘师傅意识到，男子很有可能是被困在了桥墩上，立即拨打了110。
The police immediately arrived in a patrol boat with life-saving equipment. However, the boat could not stay still because of the turbulent water near the pier. Zhang Sheng, the policeman on duty, could only stand on the guardrail of the boat to climb onto the pier. After saving the man, Zhang took off his clothes and put them on the man.
接到刘师傅电话后，民警立即携带救生装备，驾驶巡逻艇前往事发水域。由于桥墩附近江水湍急，桥墩平面与船有一定高度差，且没有攀附物，巡逻艇无法停靠，民警张胜只能踩着巡逻艇护栏，冒险登上桥墩将男子救下，并将自己的衣服脱下给他穿上。
The man said that he had been trapped on the pier for four days. When he was thirsty, he drank the river water and when hungry, he ate some aquatic plants. When rescued, the man was very weak, with bruises on his arms and legs and red sunburn on his back.
男子说，他已在桥墩上被困4天，渴了就喝点江水，实在饿得不行，找了点水草果腹。被救时，男子身体非常虚弱，手臂、腿上都有擦伤，背部被晒得通红。
The moment he was rescued, the man burst into tears. He kept repeating words of thanks. The police contacted the man's family and then brought him to Daishan Hospital for treatment.
获救后，男子失声痛哭，多次欲跪下感谢民警的救助，嘴里不停说着感谢的话。在电话联系男子家人后，民警将男子送往岱山医院进行治疗。
