Resilience of a 4-year-old | 4岁女孩顽强重生
How resilient can life be? A four-year-old girl, Xiaozhi from Suizhou in Hubei province, gives us an answer with her experience.
生命有多坚韧？湖北随州4岁女孩小智给出了答案。
Xiaozhi fell from the sixth floor of a building on Feb. 20 this year. While being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, misfortune struck again when the ambulance was accidentally rammed from behind by a car. Xiaozhi fell off the stretcher and was injured a second time. At that moment, a car driver nearby brought her to Wuhan Children's Hospital.
今年2月20日，小智从6楼坠落，被赶紧送往医院。没想到，救护车在前往医院的路上被一辆私家车追尾。小智从担架床上摔倒在车厢中，二次受伤，小智妈妈也多处骨折。救护车无法再开动，幸遇一辆好心的私家车，将母女俩送到武汉儿童医院救治。

The medical team used every means available to stabilize Xiaozhi's blood pressure and circulation system as well as assist her respiration with a ventilator. They performed an operation and applied for an RMB 50,000 donation from the Shanghai Angel Baby Foundation.
医护团队想尽办法帮助小智稳定了血压和循环功能，用呼吸机辅助呼吸，并择期做了外科手术，并为小智争取到上海天使宝贝基金会的5万元爱心援助。
Recovering day by day, despite her severe injuries and young age, Xiaozhi has been transferred from the ICU to a regular ward of the neurosurgery department.
尽管小智伤势严重，年龄又很小，但她的情况一天天好转，由监护室转入神经外科普通病房。
