Longest subway loop starts tunneling under Yangtze | 国内最长地铁环线开启穿江之旅

　　When the home-made shield tunneling machine "Jiangcheng Xianfenghao" started operation in South International Expo Center Station in Hanyang and began boring towards the forthcoming Lingwucun Station in Hongshan on May 29, the project for Wuhan's first subway loop line entered its next phase — to construct its 3.37-km upstream tunnel under the Yangtze River.
　　5月29日，现场，国产大直径盾构机“江城先锋号”从国博中心南站始发，向位于长江南岸的凌吴村站掘进，武汉地铁首条环线正式开始穿越长江之旅，区间全场3.37公里。

　　The machine was codeveloped by China Railway Tunnel Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. Its diameter is 12.56 meters, equivalent to the height of a four-floor building.
　　越江段采用的大直径盾构机由中铁隧道局集团有限公司与中铁工程装备集团有限公司共同研发制造，刀盘开挖直径达12.56米，相当于四层楼高。
　　Construction of Wuhan Metro Line 12 began in 2020. As the country's longest subway loop, this 59.9-km line will connect all seven central urban areas of Wuhan — Qiaokou, Jianghan, Jiang'an, Qingshan, Hongshan, Wuchang and Hanyang.
　　武汉地铁12号线于2020年开始建设，全长59.9公里，是国内最长的城市地铁环线，串联了硚口、江汉、江岸、青山、洪山、武昌及汉阳共7个行政区域。
　　There will be 37 stations along the line, including 26 transfer stations. The route will also cross the Han River, Moshui Lake and Shahu Lake.
　　线路共设站37座，其中换乘站数量达26座。12号线将穿越汉江，墨水湖和沙湖。
