'Wukong' to stage at Han Show Theater | 京剧《悟空》登汉秀剧场

　　Han Show Theater celebrated its 2,000th performance on June 17. Beforehand, the theater announced that in the second half of the year, it will cooperate with Hubei Provincial Beijing Opera Theater to launch a new Beijing opera "Wukong."
　　6月17日，汉秀剧场迎来了第2000场演出。在精彩的演出之前，汉秀剧场也宣布，下半年将与湖北省京剧院合作，推出新式京剧《悟空》。
　　Yang Geng, director of the creation and rehearsal department of the provincial theater, said that "Wukong" will be based on the classic Beijing opera "Havoc in Heaven" and be a collision between the traditional formula of Beijing Opera and the high-tech stage of Han Show. "We hope that through such a creation, more young people will come into the theater and learn about Beijing Opera."
　　湖北省京剧院创作排练部主任杨耕介绍，《悟空》将以京剧经典的《大闹天宫》为基础，将京剧传统的程式和汉秀高科技的舞台来一次碰撞。“我们希望通过这样的创作，让更多年轻人走进汉秀剧场，了解京剧。”
