Wuhan Biennale 2022 invites global artists to participate | 2022武汉双年展邀请全球艺术家参与
A press conference was held simultaneously in Beijing and Wuhan by video link on June 28 announcing that the Wuhan Biennale 2022 will be held in Wuhan from December 2022 to May 2023.
6月28日，2022武汉双年展新闻发布会以视频连线形式在北京、武汉两地同时召开, 宣布2022年12月至2023年5月，2022武汉双年展将在武汉举行。

The logo of the biennale was unveiled at the conference. Designed by the team led by Professor Xiao Yong from the Design School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), the logo combines the image of mountains and water, signifying that the Wuhan Biennale will continue the cultural lineage of Wuhan as the birthplace of the story of "high mountains and flowing water" about the deep friendship between Zhong Ziqi and Yu Boya. The A-shape of the logo is also a reflection of the collision between traditional art and contemporary art, and of the exchange between Chinese art and international art in the biennale, according to the organizer of the event.
发布会上，武汉双年展的LOGO亮相。中央美术学院设计学院教授肖勇教授的团队将高山、流水融于一体的设计，寓意着武汉双年展将延续武汉作为“高山流水觅知音”起源地的文脉。书就山水相融的A形，也体现了武汉双年展中传统艺术与当代艺术的碰撞，及中华艺术与世界艺术的交流对话。

Themed on "Art as a thoroughfare," this year's iennale exhibition covers a wide range of modern art creation forms from China and abroad, including painting, sculpture, video installation art, technology art, as well as art design.
本届展览以“艺以通衢”为主题，涵盖绘画、雕塑、影像装置艺术、科技艺术以及艺术设计等多种中外现代艺术创作形式。
The biennale will invite over 300 outstanding artists from around the world to participate in the exhibition. It will be held simultaneously at the Qintai Art Museum, Wuhan Art Museum and United Art Museum, one museum in each of the three towns of Wuhan.
双年展拟在全球范围内邀请300余位中外优秀艺术家参展。届时，双年展将在分布于武汉三镇的琴台美术馆、武汉美术馆、合美术馆同期开展。
