Wuhan Botanical Garden's giant waterlilies in bloom | 武汉植物园“水上花王”开花啦

　　Over a dozen giant waterlilies in the Wuhan Botanical Garden are in bloom and have entered their best viewing period.
　　近日，武汉植物园的十几株王莲开花了，已经进入最佳观花期。
　　The giant waterlily is the largest of the aquatic flowering plants in terms of leaf size. There are more than 30 of them in the garden, and the leaves are generally about 1.5 to 1.7 meters in diameter.
　　王莲是水生有花植物中叶片最大的植物。武汉植物园的王莲共有30多株，叶片直径普遍在1.5米至1.7米左右。

　　The flowering period of a single flower of the giant waterlily is only three days. Usually, it blooms in the early evening (about 5 p.m.) and closes early the next morning (8 a.m. to 9 a.m.), with the color changing a remarkable three times in three days.
　　王莲单朵花的花期只有三天，一般傍晚开花（约5点左右），次日早晨（8点至9点）闭合，且颜色三天三变。
