Wuhan International Drama Season kicks off | 武汉国际戏剧演出季启幕
The 9th Wuhan International Drama Season kicked off on Sept. 23. As the show season unfolds over the next four months, 38 plays from seven countries, including China, the Netherlands, Italy, and Croatia, will be presented to Wuhan audiences.
9月23日晚，第九届武汉国际戏剧演出季启动。随后，演出季将陆续在4个月里为武汉观众献上来自中国、荷兰、意大利、克罗地亚等7个国家的38部剧作。
In the drama section, 10 dramas including Tianjin People's Art Theater's Chinese version of "The Late Christopher Bean," Xi'an Drama Theater's "Dead Men Tell No Tales," and Wuhan People's Art Theater's original play "Raging" will be staged.
“话剧剧场”板块中，将展演天津人民艺术剧院的《油漆未干》、西安话剧院创作的《死无对证》以及武汉人民艺术剧院创作创作演出的原创话剧《狂澜》等10部话剧作品。
Opening drama "Crossing the Sea"
In the children's section, 10 plays including "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" created by Wuhan People's Art Theater and the musical "The Little Match Seller" created by Jining Art Theater will be performed.
“儿童剧场”板块中，武汉人民艺术剧院创作的《尼尔斯骑鹅历险记》，济宁艺术剧院创作的儿童音乐剧《卖火柴的小女孩》等10部儿童剧作品将和观众见面。
The puppet show section, offered for the first time in this festival, will present six plays created by Wuhan People's Art Theater, Shanghai Hobby Horse, and the Hunan Puppet and Shadow Art Protection and Inheritance Center. Among them, "Disappearing Marine Animals" is a uniquely presented musical light-and-shadow play jointly produced with the Netherlands.
本届演出季首次设立的“木偶剧场”板块中，将上演武汉人民艺术剧院、上海哈皮木偶戏剧中心、湖南省木偶皮影艺术保护传承中心创作的6部作品，其中《即将消失的海洋动物》是由中国和荷兰联合制作的古董装置音乐光影剧。
In the screening section, 12 stage dramas from theaters such as the British National Theater, the French Comedy Theater, and some from London's West End, will be showcased.
“放映剧场”板块中，将展映来自英国国家剧院、法兰西喜剧院、伦敦西区共12部现场放映剧目。
