Banov's House: starting point of Wuhan's modern industry | 巴公房子：武汉近代工业的起点
On July 19, the group came to Banov's House whilst it was under renovation. It was built in 1910 by the Banov brothers, who were Russian tea merchants and the last Tsar's cousins.
7月19日，探访团来到由俄国茶商巴诺夫兄弟于1910年建成的“巴公房子”。当日，工人们正在对这座老房子进行保护修缮。

The older brother J. K. Banov was the boss of Fuchang brick tea factory, one of the four major Russian businesses in Hankou. He also served as the then Russian Consulate General in Hankou.
房子主人巴诺夫兄弟的哥哥“大巴公”既是“四大俄商洋行”阜昌砖茶厂的老板，还担任过俄国驻汉口领事馆总领事。
His younger brother developed the steam engine for tea manufacturing. This is regarded as the starting point of Wuhan's modern industry.
弟弟“小巴公”发明了制茶蒸汽机，可以说是武汉近代工业的起点。
