5G smart farming inside scenic spot | 5G农场里春节忙采摘

　　On Jan. 25, Li Xuyuan, 71, cycled for an hour from his home in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone to the Ville De Fleurs (Huabohui) in order to pick his own hand-grown fresh vegetables for friends and relatives who later came to pay him a New Year's visit.

　　1月25日，为了采摘自己亲手种植的新鲜蔬菜招待前来拜年的亲友，家住武汉经济开发区71岁的李续元，骑行单车1小时抵达花博汇景区。

　　Li has rented a 30-square-meter field there and planted red cabbage sprouts, purple cabbage, Chinese cabbage, and radishes, all of which have ripened. "If the weather is good, I tend the fields in person. If it is rainy or I am busy, I will simply 'cloud-grow vegetables' from home with 5G agricultural smart technology. I can view the fields online and water them remotely from home with my cellphone." At present, more than 230 households have become urban farmers by leasing garden plots at the scenic spot.

　　李续元在这里承租了30平方米的田地，栽种了红菜薹、紫甘蓝、大白菜、萝卜，如今这些蔬菜已成熟。“如果天气晴朗我都会来打理田地。如遇风雨或有事外出，我会通过5G智慧农业技术居家‘云种菜’，在家用手机就能实现在线看田、远程浇水。”目前，该景区内的市民农园已有230余户家庭通过租赁方式当上了“都市农夫”。
