Feb. 2 marked the 27th World Wetlands Day. The Wuhan Municipal Garden and Forestry Bureau announced that the city would create 10 micro wetlands this year as part of the city's water restoration and treatment project and the garden landscaping upgrade three-year action plan.
2月2日是第27个世界湿地日。据武汉市园林和林业局介绍,全市将结合水体修复治理、园林绿化提升三年行动等,再建设10处小微湿地。

On Jan. 31 at the Shangshe Lake Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve, the restoration of its wetland got underway. In past years, the nature reserve implemented a series of measures to protect and restore the wetland. Now, the lake water is blue, reeds are high, and flocks of grey geese and swans are hovering and foraging freely, leaving their happy cries within the natural wilderness.
1月31日,上涉湖湿地省级自然保护区正在进行湿地修复。近几年来,保护区实施了一系列湿地保护修复措施。只见湖面如碧,芦苇悠悠,成群的灰雁和天鹅自在觅食,声闻于野。
According to an investigation, this nature reserve is currently home to 28 key national protected flora and fauna species. The highest single-day record of wildlife seen there are nearly 30,000 wild migratory birds, which shows that the ecology of the wetland has been well restored.
调查显示,目前上涉湖湿地省级自然保护区分布有28种国家重点保护动植物,单日观测到野生候鸟的最高纪录近3万只,湿地生态恢复状况良好。
