Yue Fei culture in Wuhan | 武汉的岳飞文化

　　Ever since Zhang Yimou's movie "Full River Red" became a sensation during the Spring Festival, everything related to the hero Yue Fei has aroused public interest. Numerous media, websites, and mobile media terminals are reporting about relics related to Yue and they have posted 17 related historical sites and place names that are scattered all over Wuhan.

　　Indeed, many of Yue Fei's outstanding achievements have ties with Wuhan. Yue Fei used Wuchang (ancient Ezhou) as his base during his seven northern expeditions and stationed his army there during the last and most glorious seven years of his life. Many place names and old sites in Wuchang and Hanyang reveal the military presence of Yue and his army.

　　确实，岳飞的不少卓著功勋都与武汉息息相关。岳飞7次北伐都以武昌（古鄂州）为大本营，其人生最后的也是最辉煌的7年都驻防武昌。岳家军驻防武昌、汉阳，留下不少与军事训练、指挥有关的地名、遗存。

　　According to Mi Xiaohua, vice president of Wuhan Yuefei Culture Research Association, "In addition to the 17 reported sites, many other places in the city are also derived from Yue Fei stories." Mi suggests collecting Yue Fei cultural facts as part of Wuhan's cultural heritage, renovating and constructing his relics and ruins, installing relevant street and road signs, and building a Yue Fei theme park.

　　武汉岳飞文化研究会副会长密小华表示：“除报道中提到的17处相关遗迹与地名，武汉市有些其它地方也与岳飞有关。”密小华也建议，精心策划岳飞主题公园建设，并将武汉大街小巷中有关岳飞在武汉的遗存进行归类，遗迹遗址或重建或新修，相关道路街名或立牌或树碑。
