Bird in famous memes released in Wuhan | 鸟界“表情包”原型

　　Three wild birds were released in Zhangbihu Park on the afternoon of March 6 by Yan Jun, president of the Wuhan Bird-watching Society, along with several members of the organization. One of the birds was a little owl (Athene noctua) that had been rescued by bird-lovers Li Wei and Mr. Wu the day before.

　　In September 2021, the little owl was first spotted in Wuhan by Li not far from the site of the latest rescue. "This indicates that there is a population of them nearby," said Li.

　　纵纹腹小鸮第一次在武汉被发现，是2021年9月。发现者也是李伟，地点就在这次解救纵纹腹小鸮的地点不远处。“这表明附近有它们一个种群。”他说。

　　The little owl is one of China's secondary protected wild animals, and one of the smallest owls in the world. Because of their cute appearance and novel expressions, their pictures are often used by netizens to make various memes.

　　纵纹腹小鸮是国家二级重点保护野生动物，是世界上体型最小巧的猫头鹰之一。纵纹腹小鸮因为长相萌，表情丰富，经常被网友们用来创作各种表情包，常被网友制作成各种表情包。
