　　A book launch ceremony took place in Beijing on the afternoon of May 24 for the "A Biography of Panama City: a Pearl Connecting Continents and Oceans" (hereinafter referred to as the "A Biography of Panama City") written by Changjiang Daily senior reporter Yu Xi. It is his 30th book. More than 60 people, including the ambassadors of Panama and Cuba to China as well as diplomats to China from Jamaica and the Republic of Korea, attended the event.

　　长江日报高级记者余熙创作的第30本书《巴拿马城传：跨洲连洋的沧海明珠》（以下简称《巴拿马城传》），5月24日下午在北京举行新书首发式。巴拿马驻华大使、古巴驻华大使、牙买加驻华使节、韩国驻华使节等60余人参加活动。

　　The "Hundred Cities on the Silk Road" series is a major cultural project serving the "Belt and Road" initiative. As one of the series, this book will soon appear in Spanish and English.

　　“丝路百城传”丛书是，服务“一带一路”倡议的一项重大文化工程，《巴拿马城传》作为该系列丛书之一，其西班牙语、英语版也即将面世。

　　Leonardo Alfonso Kam Binns, Panama's ambassador to China, said that Yu Xi's new book has opened a brand-new door for the Chinese people, presenting them with an opportunity to discover and explore Panama City in his work.

　　巴拿马驻华大使甘林说，余熙新书为中国人民打开了一扇崭新的大门，让中国人民能够走进书中发现、探索巴拿马城。

　　Carlos Miguel Pereira, Cuban Ambassador to China, said in his speech, "A Biography of Panama City is a wonderful book. We hope that Mr. Yu will also write a book about the city of Havana, the capital of Cuba."

　　古巴驻华大使卡洛斯·米格尔·佩雷拉在致辞中，“《巴拿马城传》写得十分精彩，我们也希望余熙先生续写古巴首都哈瓦那城传。”
