Delegation from State of Saxony visited Wuhan | 德国萨克森州副州长访汉

　　On July 13 and 14, a delegation led by Thomas Schmidt, the Minister for Regional Development in the Free State of Saxony in Germany, visited Wuhan. Schmidt said that Saxony will cooperate with Wuhan in a number of areas such as vocational education and skills training, new energy, energy storage, and new energy vehicles. According to him, the two sides will also work together in the fields of art and culture, student exchange, and tourism.

　　7月13日至14日，德国萨克森州副州长兼区域发展部部长托马斯·施密特一行到访武汉。施密特表示，将与武汉开展多个领域合作，包括职业教育和技能培训、新能源、储能以及新能源汽车等。双方还可以在人文领域开展艺术文化、学生交流和旅游等合作。

　　On July 13, the German group visited the Wuhan New Energy Research Institute where they communicated with the staff.

　　The Wuhan University of Science and Technology and Germany's Freiberg University of Technology have been working together for 20 years since 2003. Schmidt noted during his visit to the university that Wuhan and Saxony have jointly trained many talents and teachers in the past and have achieved fruitful results academically.

　　武汉科技大学与德国弗莱贝格工业大学自2003年起展开合作，距今已20年。施密特到访武汉科技大学时说，“萨克森州与武汉联合培养了众多人才与教师，国际学术成就硕果累累。

　　On July 14, the delegation visited the Wuhan Sino-German Industrial Park. Schmidt said, "Here I see Wuhan's emphasis on both energy conservation and efficiency. I look forward to further cooperation."

　　14日，施密特一行参观了武汉中德国际产业园。施密特表示，“在这里我看到武汉对于节能高效的重视。非常期待进一步合作。

　　On that day, they also visited the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Testing Demonstration Zone and experienced a driverless car demonstration.
