Plan approved for developing city clusters in Yangtze middle reaches | 长江中游城市群发展方案

　　The State Council recently approved the implementation plan for the development of the city clusters in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
　　近日，国务院批复同意《长江中游城市群发展“十四五”实施方案》。
　　The plan seeks to highlight the advantages and features of Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi, build significant support for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, make the region into both an important growth pole for national high-quality development and key regional city clusters with international influence.
　　《长江中游城市群发展“十四五”实施方案》要求彰显 江西、湖北、湖南三省优势和特色，打造长江经济带发展和中部地区崛起的重要支撑、全国高质量发展的重要增长极、具有国际影响力的重要城市群。

　　The city clusters in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are super-large, state-level megacity clusters mainly formed by the Wuhan city cluster, and the city clusters surrounding Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan as well as Poyang Lake.
　　根据《长江中游城市群发展规划》，长江中游城市群是以武汉城市圈、环长株潭城市群、环鄱阳湖城市群为主体形成的特大型国家级城市群。
