From Feb. 23 to 25, the 2nd Wuhan Huazhao Cultural Tourism Festival & flower appreciation fair was held in Xinzhou Huazhaohewan Scenic Area. Business people and tourists from all over the country gathered in the scenic spot to taste delicious food, view spring plums, appreciate performances, and pick strawberries, while enjoying spring scenery and soaking in the culture of the flower fair.
2月23日至25日,新洲花朝河湾景区举办第二届武汉花朝文化旅游节及游园赏花会。来自全国各地的商家和游客齐聚景区,品美食、赏春梅、看表演、采草莓,享受着春天的好时光,传承花朝文化。
At the event, businesses set up booths along the road in the scenic spot, selling a wide variety of products, including wooden rattan handicrafts, agricultural and sideline products, clothing, shoes and hats, seedlings and flowers, all of which made tourists linger to choose their favorite. The scenic spot also held food festival and other activities.
活动现场,商家在景区沿路设置摊位,展销产品种类繁多,包括木质藤制手工制品、农副产品、服装鞋帽、苗木花卉等,游客纷纷驻足挑选自己中意的商品。同时,景区还举办了美食节等活动。

With a sea of flowers soon unfolding, the scenic spot is now enticing tourists with cherry blossoms, Chinese flowering crabapple, and peach blossoms. The best viewing period of late cherry blossoms will be from mid- or late-March to April, and the corn poppy and rose will bloom in early April.
接下来,花朝河湾将成为花的海洋,3月初有樱花、海棠、桃花花海可赏,晚樱最佳观赏时期预计在3月中下旬至4月份,虞美人、月季花海将于4月初绽放。
Originating from the ancient Huazhao Festival in the Chunxi reign of the Southern Song dynasty, the event boasts a history of more than 800 years, has become the largest folk fair in the eastern part of Hubei province, and is listed as an intangible cultural heritage of Hubei and Wuhan.
新洲花朝节起源于南宋淳熙年间,至今已有800多年的历史,是鄂东一带最大的民间赶集大会,被列为湖北省、武汉市非物质文化遗产。
