Colorful bougainvilleas lighten up Wuhan Botanical Garden | 五颜六色的簕杜鹃扮靓武汉植物园

　　The first Bougainvillea Exhibition in Wuhan is running from Sept. 16 to Oct. 18 at the Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a new way to greet autumn — with bougainvilleas instead of chrysanthemums.
　　9月16日至10月18日，中科院武汉植物园举行武汉市首届簕杜鹃花展。今年，中科院武汉植物园以簕杜鹃代替菊花，来迎接金秋。

　　Red and purple bougainvilleas are common in Wuhan, but this flower exhibition displays bougainvilleas with diverse colors in more than 3,000 pots along with other kinds of flowers in a further 12,000 pots.
　　在武汉，我们一般见到的簕杜鹃都是紫红色，而这次的花展上，市民可以看到五颜六色的簕杜鹃。共有3000余盆簕杜鹃、12000盆各色鲜花扮靓植物园。

　　The exhibition, running until 9:30 p.m. every evening, is the first night show at the garden. More than 1,000 new sets of lights in the shapes of plants and animals such as butterflies, lotuses, and fawns give bougainvilleas a romantic haze in the evening.
　　此次花展是植物园首个有夜场的花展，展览期间闭园时间延长至21:30。园内上新了千余套灯组，还有蝴蝶、荷花、小鹿等动植物灯组营造氛围，让游客在朦胧夜色下看簕杜鹃与浪漫光影秀。
