Student entrepreneur raising turtles | 在读生带领老乡养龟致富
Chen Ruiliang, a second-year graduate student in mathematics at the Central China Normal University, has been in business for three years. Last year, his company's revenue was more than RMB 20 million. Chen has also led many people of his hometown, Renjiafan Village in Shaoxing of Zhejiang province, in starting a business and as a result more than 100 villagers have followed him on the road to prosperity.
华中师范大学数学专业研二在读硕士陈瑞亮，已创业三年。去年，他公司的营收就达两千多万元。此外，陈瑞亮还带动家乡绍兴任家畈村的百姓一起创业，100多位农户跟着他走上致富路。

During his postgraduate studies, Chen got to know Gu Boxian, the Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Turtle Branch of the National Fisheries Association. With the help of some classmates and Gu, Chen established Shaoxing Tuojin Breeding Co., Ltd. He gave his start-up team of around 20 members the name, "龟'援'田居 (guī yuán tián jū)."
读研期间，陈瑞亮结识了全国渔协龟鳖分会常务副秘书长顾博贤教授。在顾教授的帮助下，陈瑞亮带领同学们创立了绍兴驮金养殖有限公司。他给创业团队取名“龟‘援’田居”，成员约20人。
Through ongoing experimentation and practice, they came to realize the considerable benefits of breeding the small, easy-to-rear, ornamental Yellow-margined Box Turtle. It has become their main product and they have continued to investigate how to breed it.
在不断的探索和实践中，团队发现体型小、饲养方便、观赏性强的黄缘闭壳龟的养殖效益十分可观。于是他们开始以黄缘闭壳龟为主打产品，不断钻研养殖技术。
Previously, the villagers in Chen's hometown had mainly relied on growing rice and rapeseed plants to maintain their livelihood. Many families were struggling to make ends meet. Chen then came up with the idea of leading the villagers in starting a business raising turtles. "More than 100 villagers have now joined in, using vacant land and wasteland to raise the turtles," said Chen. Some formerly low-income families are now reaping the rewards.
之前，家乡的村民主要靠种植水稻、油菜维持生计。生活并不富裕，陈瑞亮萌生了带领村民一起创业养龟的想法。“先后有100多户村民加入，将闲置的空地和荒地都利用起来养龟。”陈瑞亮说。一些曾经的低收入家庭如今收获颇丰。
According to an official who runs the chamber of commerce in Shaoxing, Chen's company has developed rapidly and now has agents in many places across the country. "This young man is very capable. He has recruited many college graduates as well as helped local farmers increase their income."
陈瑞亮家乡工商所相关负责人介绍，陈瑞亮的公司发展很快，在全国多地都有代理商。“这个小伙子很能干，招聘了不少大学毕业生，也带动了当地农民增收致富。”
