University's warm gifts to students in need | 这所大学给学生发“温暖”

　　For the benefit of those students in need, the SouthCentral Minzu University (SCMZU) gave out its warm care as the winter approaches. The students received altogether 1,000 quilts and 700 down jackets.

　　寒冬临近，中南民族大学对困难学子的暖心关怀又如约而至，1000床棉被、700件羽绒服陆续发放给学子们。

　　Dong Haoye, a teacher from the Student Financial Aid Management Center of the SCMZU, says that it is a tradition that began in the early 1980s.

　　中南民族大学学生资助管理中心董浩烨老师介绍，这项传统源自上世纪80年代初。

　　Every year, there would be many students from remote areas coming to school did not bring enough clothing or quilts for the winter. At first, many teachers spontaneously donated cotton-padded quilts and overcoats to the students in need. Later, the university took it over as a responsibility and made it a tradition to distribute cotton-padded overcoats and quilts to needy students every winter. "Now, the university will make available as many styles as possible, thinking from the perspective of the students," Dong added.

　　每年新生开学，有许多来自偏远地区的学生，他们来报到时没有带御寒的行李。刚开始，学校不少老师自发从家里拿一些棉衣棉被给学生们御寒，后来学校接管了此事，每年冬天都给困难学生发放棉衣棉被。“现在无论是棉衣还是棉被，学校尽可能多地准备样式，站在学生的角度去选择。” 董浩烨老师说。
