Grateful girl gives back to society | 励志女孩立志回馈社会

　　Jiang Zhirong, 22, is from Yingcheng, Hubei province. Last year, she passed the examination for upgrading from a junior college student to a university student, and was admitted as an undergraduate at Hubei Minzu University.

　　今年22岁的姜志容是湖北应城人，去年，她通过“专升本”考取了湖北民族大学。

　　As she was the only one in her class to have successfully passed the exam, Jiang's teacher and classmates advised her not to suspend her schooling, but she insisted on doing otherwise because she "wanted to give back to society."

　　作为班上唯一成功考取本科的人，老师和同学都劝她别休学，但她坚持自己的选择。她选择休学是“想早点回馈社会”。

　　As a member of the Plan of the 2022 College Students Volunteer Service to Western Regions, Jiang has now worked in Hubei's Laifeng County, at the junction of Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing, for more than half a year.

　　作为2022年大学生志愿服务西部计划中的一员，姜志容已在位于鄂、湘、渝三省市交界处的湖北来凤县工作半年多。

　　In the second year of her junior high school studies, Jiang's father passed away. Her mother was unable to take care of herself because she suffered from an illness and her grandmother later succumbed to Alzheimer's.

　　在她读初二那年，父亲因病去世，妈妈因为智力障碍生活无法自理，奶奶后来又患上了阿尔茨海默病。

　　To help Jiang's family, the local government funded the conversion of her earth house into a brick one. In order to help Jiang concentrate on her studies without distractions, a kind-hearted man called Nie Chunhua gave support towards Jiang's mother living in a welfare home. With a heart full of gratitude, Jiang studied very hard in technical secondary school and college, until she passed the undergraduate upgrading exam and suspended her schooling.

　　为帮助姜志容一家，当地政府出资将她家里漏风漏雨的土房修成了砖房。为让姜志容安心学业，好心人聂春华帮姜志容的妈妈联系入住了福利院。带着感恩之心，姜志容一路从中专读到大专，去年又考取了本科。

　　Speaking of her decision, Jiang said, "When I was asked whether I would regret suspending school to volunteer in the western regions, I was certain I would never."

　　谈起选择，姜志容告诉记者：“有人问我，休学两年来西部后不后悔？我可以坚定地说，从来没有后悔过。”
